  1. Yesterday
  2. Good evening, I am looking some information if possible. I have a 2019 Q3 semi automatic and a gearbox malfunction warning came on driving home. I got stopped at family's stopped the car for 1 hour came back out and started the car and drove home with no warning coming up. Wondering if anyone has had this problem? Thank you.
  3. There you can find and buy used OEM audi parts https://rrr.lt/en/cars-list/audi?sh=375 The list of parts is updated every day
  4. Can the tailgate be adjusted so the panel gaps align. By altering the rubber bump stops it don't make any difference. Just right hand side low
  5. That's a really, really important point for other worried drivers. The dealer told me that the Audi Used Approved / Audi all components cover Extended Warranty does not cover any fault deemed to be 'wiring'. Imagine how that's going to work when we're all driving Audi EV's - they are battery, motor(s) and lots of wiring.
  6. Hi everyone, long time lurker and first time poster. My 2021 RS7 with 24k miles would appear to have suffered BSG failure today. All the warnings mentioned in this post appeared almost at once and the car cut out soon after. Audi assist were with me within 30 minutes and confirmed the 12v battery is not charging. The car is being recovered to Stirling Audi tomorrow morning. I will say that the car has been faultless to this point and hopefully, with the information from this forum, the repair will be reasonably quick and at no cost to myself. I hope to update with good news soon, Standfree.

Thanks for your understanding.
  10. In my experience, using bushes is only cost effective if you're doing the work yourself. As you mentioned, labour is the killer. For convenience, replacing the entire arm is the way to go. The suspension arm needs to be completely removed, the old bush pressed out and the new one pressed in. On lower arms, some vehicles may have hydra bushes fitted (filled with a liquid). Once it's all done, the vehicle tracking geometry should be checked. Personally, I'd have chosen a random MOT centre and put it through. You might get some disparity between the two checks, but it should be minimal, as the garage's MOT certification is at stake, so it's in their interests to be honest and impartial. Visual inspection is only part of it, the tester should put a pry bar on those joints to check for flex.
  11. Why are you asking -5 years on? This is your first post, and you wade in with a question relating to an aged thread, without so much as an explanation why. It has been said that we are a friendly and helpful bunch on here, and I believe we are, but would you mind retracing your footsteps back to the last bus stop and give us a bit of background and an introduction. Many thanks, Gareth.
  12. Thanks Mark, If it were mine:- (1) I would not return it to the same MOT station - they are highly likely to pass it again - perhaps with a backside- covering advisory. As said, I would chose a random local MOT station. (2) Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but would I have put my faith in the car’s total condition being assessed via a seller-chosen MOT and the seller’s word? No ( in caps). (3). Such MOT issues are drawn to the attention of VOSA and not DVLA. As an aside, I go back many decades, at the time I was selling a MK2 Cortina Estate. A potential buyer ( without having seen the car) arranged for an AA inspection. They came up with about half a dozen trivial conclusions on what was a nice vehicle, and understandably, he did not buy it - but someone else did shortly after. The point I make is that paid-for inspections can be a backside covering assessment, to prevent any ( in caps) come backs. Might be worth keeping this in mind, and the affair may turn out to be a storm in a tea cup. We can only offer advice to follow on the ‘if it were mine’ principle, and it’s obviously up to the poster to chose whether to follow it or reject it. Good luck with whatever you decide to do Mark, but please keep us up to date on progress. Kind regards, Gareth.
  13. Long shot, but check out LLL parts and look at parts diagrams for your particular model based on the work done, or register with erWIN and pay to view. You can download relevant information, so its not wasted.
  14. Well, the auto box service kit costs around £260-340, depending from where you buy it. The rear diff oils (there are two types to be used for the SQ5 with the sports diff. The ATF fluid side is clearly marked. If you mix the oil up, it’ll knacker your diff!!) should be around £80, and an easy job. Not sure about the front
  15. Thank you for your response Magnet. 1. Why return the car to the original MOT station rather than another (independent) one? I chose to return the car to the original MOT station because it was the same garage that certified the vehicle as roadworthy. If there were underlying issues that should have been flagged during the initial MOT, it's important they are made aware and given the opportunity to re-examine their own assessment. This also provides a clear chain of accountability and supports any potential case of negligence or improper testing. 2. Was the independent inspection carried out before or after the purchase? The inspection was carried out after the purchase. In hindsight, a pre-purchase inspection would have been ideal, and I acknowledge that. However, at the time, I relied on the MOT and the dealer’s assurance of the vehicle’s condition. 3. Why escalate the matter to the DVLA, and what would your concern with them be? If the MOT was improperly carried out or misleading, and the vehicle was sold as roadworthy when it was not, that raises serious safety and compliance concerns. Escalating to the DVLA would not be out of discontent with them personally, but rather to report a potentially flawed MOT process and to prompt an investigation into the garage's practices. I believe this garage is part of the dealer's garage and MOT station. Honestly, I will try to sort out issues with them and follow their instructions. Otherwise, I will file a complaint with DVLA and Trading Standards. What would you do if you were in this situation? @Magnet
  16. Hi did you manage to register the Audi in the end?
  17. Thanks Mark, Why return the car to the original MOT station, rather than another (independent) one? Was the ‘independent inspection company’ assessment of the car carried out before you bought it or after? If after - why not before - it would have been far more meaningful. ‘Escalating to matter to DVLA’ why them, and what will be your discontent with them?
  18. Many thanks indeed Andrew. It’s great that you have been prepared to share your experiences for the benefit of others. Oh, of course welcome, and please keep in touch. Many thanks and kind regards, Gareth.
  19. This is the Amazon seller I bought mine from and appears to be manufactured on same line as the Audi sold ones. materials and markings matched up and even just had the Audi logo marking scratched off. The One on the listing photo looks like cheap rubbish but that’s not what they sent
  20. Thanks I’ll get it sorted today
  21. Pretty sure it’s the same part number across most the range so will affect all models
  22. Has anyone had this issue on a 2019 Q5 TFSI
  23. Having had an S4 Avant 10 years from new (B8), I was waiting for Audi to get over its diesel S4 period, so welcomed the launch of the new S5 Avant. I found a dealer willing to sell me one of the first available cars (they had one more arriving than they were required to hold by Audi for showroom/demo) - and took delivery in November '24. If I had just placed an order for one I was told it would be delivered in April/May '25. It is the fully loaded ‘Launch Edition’. I have now done 4,500 miles, so possibly the most experience of this model in the UK. My overall impression is of a car that is highly loaded with clever features, but the software development is far from complete! There are many software issues and, so far, I have seen little interest from dealers or Audi in sorting them. Many are annoying and reduce the use of features (I have turned them off), but one stopped the car totally. Here are a few examples:- - The ‘speed nanny’ (beeps when you exceed the speed limit) very often gets the speed limit wrong. It miss-reads signs or misses them altogether and seems to work both from map information and camera recognition of signs. For example, on a 70 limit dual carriageway (non-motorway) it most often thinks the limit is 60, then passing under a bridge it will change its idea of the speed limit to 30 mph. I turn it off every time I start the car (useful to be able to programme a steering wheel button to do this). - The ‘cross traffic’ detection when reversing will suddenly apply the brakes to stop the car if it thinks there is cross traffic (so sudden it feels like you hit something). It took me a while to work out what was causing the braking. There was no cross traffic. It thinks my hedge, my wife’s parked car, my daughters gate, etc. are cross traffic!! When I took delivery, the salesman commented that it suddenly braked when he backed it into the showroom … I have switched this feature off. - Driving past an exit slip road on the inside lane of a dual carriageway it gets confused by the white line marking (hatches etc.) and applies the brakes – not what you want at 70mph. - The infotainment system’s behaviour seems inconsistent (there may be a logic, but I haven’t found it!). - The worst case was when I parked one day then came back to the car – it unlocked, but then was totally dead, nothing on the displays, it would not start, the brakes could not be released, nor the steering lock and I couldn’t open the rear door or lock the car again. It took Audi recovery 3 days to recover the car to the local Audi dealer and 2 days for the dealer to fix. It was apparently a ‘known’ software problem and fixed with an update – I was not notified of any recall. Needless to say the update did not fix the other issues. Other non-software thoughts? - The car is significantly bigger than the B8 A4/S4 with less room inside, feels more like an A6/S6 to drive. Disappointing. - Storage space is more limited – there is no room for a spare wheel and the emergency tyre re-inflation kit does not fit the dedicated space under the floor. The first aid kit has no home, so these things rattle about the luggage space. - Performance is of course good, but the supercharger (combined with gearbox set-up) of my old car gave better rev/torque characteristics than the new one. - The hybrid operation/performance is good and well refined. - The 20 inch wheels on my car give relatively poor ride – take the 19 inch if you can. - In my personal view the styling is poor, messy and more bling than I prefer. What would I recommend? It is a good, but not exceptionally good car – but I would suggest giving Audi another year to finish the development … so don’t buy yet.
  24. Hello, @cliffcoggin@spartacus 68 Thank you for your previous responses, and apologies for the delay in getting back to you—I was unable to access my account until today. Regarding the issue with the vehicle, the dealer has repeatedly claimed that the problem is due to general wear and tear, that the car is safe to drive, and therefore they are not responsible for any repairs. He also stated that each bush costs around £6–£7 and expected me to replace all the bushes myself. I informed him that this is not acceptable or legal, considering the condition of the vehicle when sold. He provided the contact information for the MOT tester who originally inspected the vehicle, and I have since booked an appointment with them for the 30th of April. Our conversation has been recorded via WhatsApp messages for reference. The tester has agreed to inspect the vehicle and take appropriate action if necessary. My expectations are straightforward: I expect the issue to be repaired and the car made fully MOT compliant. If the necessary repairs are not carried out, I will be seeking a partial refund. Failing that, I will be forced to escalate the matter to the DVLA. While individual bushes may be inexpensive, the labour involved in replacing each one is considerable. Most qualified mechanics would opt to replace the entire suspension component rather than individual bushings due to the complexity and time required. It’s worth noting that the MOT history shows only one advisory: "Underbody and suspension components undersealed." This raises further concerns regarding the accuracy and thoroughness of the inspection conducted.
  25. Final reply from Audi… I suspect the broadcasters tweaked the frequency as Audi are clueless. Thank you again for contacting Audi UK regarding your experience with your Audi A6 DAB radio. I have now liaised with our internal Technical Team here at Audi UK, they are unable to confirm why there has been an error with your DAB radio as your vehicle does not have access to over-the-air updates. I am sorry for any disappointment that this may cause. If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me on the details below.
  26. Do you have an update for us Mark?
