  2. I’m only get approx 38-40 in the 40 tdi ! however mine is mainly stop starting in town . just wondering do any of the drive modes make a difference ? I’ve just left it in ‘ auto ‘
  3. Hi David, Congratulations on the new A6! One thing I need to ask you about... 51 mpg?! I had my new A6 Avant 40 TFSI delivered late last year. Even on long, eco runs from Kent to Staffordshire and Lincolnshire I have only managed 37-40mpg. Maybe it's the limited miles I have put on the car since new. That, or I need to know the magic touch to get this 40 TFSI anywhere near 50 mpg!

  5. That's a great idea, I hadn't thought of that at all. Sounds like the best solution to me, thanks Steve, good thinking mate.
  6. Hi Dan, Thanks for that. The best offer I got standard was Aviva just below 1K with most of the bits & pieces. Haven't checked for a remap at the moment but would be interesting to know what the difference would be Kind Regards Steve
  7. Thanks for the really helpful replies. I have an audi guide for the 8y mmi connections that identify plugs and which pins to add so hopefully that will work. Coding very useful. Had vcds in the past but did not bother to replace after using the vin allocation on family cars but can do the same with obd11. Good thought to look at panel parts on ebay to see where clips go. Have some spare clips from a previous vw golf which seem to be the same as audi. Just got to find the time to take the plunge. Just for info audi want £860 to fit and most others are about £600.

Personally I only get Audi to do a service so the car to has a full service main dealer history- i get all the other repairs - brakes, tyres etc at a local garage that I have used for years - far more reasonable pricing.

    DAB Radio

Sorry for the long post but just to mKake people aware- Audi in general are just a joke my car went in for diagnostic check because of radio was told it was to do with my windows being tinted as the antenna is on the back windscreen disgusied as 2 small copper wires, worse excuse ever i explained to them my car came with the tints and have had it well over a year and was clearly nothing to do with the windows being tinted as the radio juat randomly stopped working couple weeks back same as everyone elses, then explained i came across forums were other people were experiencing same issue but they just werent wantin to accept it was to do with them and not updating the chipsets or firmware etc, other work was also in the report after my vehicles healthcheck some advisories suggesting i have them done in 6 month time things like sparkplugs changed 3 new tyres and couple of other things, i gave them the go ahead to carry the work out just now so it was done, £1375 in total i paid and collected my car for my cars tyre pressure warning light to keep coming on which my car has never done and only started doing this since havinh it back from them and no tyres were losing pressure, so i took the car back to them for this to be looked at they basically checked all tyre pressures and reset the light which i told them i had already done and light would still come back on again few hours later so its not really solving the problem for them to tell me they were confident it would stay off this time and if it didnt to get it back in and theyd look into this further so upon going to collect my car again for the 2nd time i noticed my front alloy was all chipped and curbed really badly, wasnt like that when car was took into them so obviously happend when they road tested it to check the tyre pressure warning light was off, if i hadnt noticed this they would have happily sent me on my way but unlucky for them i inspect my car inside and out and its kept immaculate as i have really bad ocd so upon pointin this out to them i then had to request to speak to a manager and yes they were able to check pictures they took of my car as its protocol that they take photos of customers cars that go into them for work to be carried out upon arriving with them and they have took liability so they now have to send my wheel to their bodyshop for it to be all repsrayed so yeah my experience with audi has been absolutely shocking wish i didnt even take my car into them in the first place as it has caused nothin but hassle and my car now has problems that it didnt have prior to them doing work to it and my radio stations are all back working now, clearly misdiagnosed the problem with the radio aswell but still charged me 150 plus vat then 1375 for other work to be carried out by them disgraceful caused me nothing but stress and hassle and im now sitting carless they have offered me a courtesy car when one becomes available.
  12. I've had a response from Audi as well I've replied pointing out that Planet Rock switched to DAB+ in October 2023 and I've had no issues with reception until March 2025. Awaiting a further response ... Oh, Planet Rock is a Bauer Media Audio UK station. It transmits on band 11A which is the frequency band we appeared to lose, my partners Fiesta (2 years OLDER than my Q3) has not had any issues throughout all of this. Nor have any of my DAB+ radios at home.

    Terrible response!
  14. Thanks Alen, As Cliff says, and just let us know if you need advice on how to advertise here, or on the wording. Agree EBay and Autotrader would be a must for coverage. Kind regards, Gareth.

they really dont have a clue do they x
  16. It was out of warranty but I had an extended warranty but that did not kick in as Monmotors got Audi UK to fess up, paid the recovery fee, courtesy car plus the repair
  17. I've literally just had a reply from my ticket raised with Audi. They are unbelievable... Thank you for contacting Audi UK regarding your vehicle's DAB. I am sorry for the delay in my response. Please be advised that DAB is being phased out. This is a decision of the radio stations under Bauer Media Audio UK and not a problem with the vehicle. Bauer Media Audio UK stations such as Absolute Radio, KISS, KISSTORY, and Magic Radio switched to DAB+ on March 31, 2025, meaning their DAB signals were turned off. This has nothing to do with the vehicle and everything to do with Bauer Media Audio UK and their own decision to change how they broadcast. I can appreciate that this is not the response you had hoped for, and I am sorry for any inconvenience.
  18. You can advertise on this forum, but I doubt it has the coverage of Ebay or Autotrader etc.
  19. Thank you, I will try Bath and will keep you updated! Was your Audi under any other warranty? What year it is?

  21. Hello Kari and everyone. Collected my A7 from garage this morning. Full repair was done under the 7 year free extended warranty. Ive got the written report etc and will share later once scanned it. The Audi free 7 year warranty exists, do NOT let anyone at Audi fob you off. Tell them about all of us with same problems, print this forum if necessary and show them, tell them u are fully aware of rhe USA and UK warranties. Audi garage will always insist on carrying out their diagnostic check (£150) as first step. But dont worry re that cost as it will be covered by the 7 yr warranty. I didnt pay for anything. Also, book the diagnostic asap and push them for a courtesy car. Mine said rhey didnt have any which i think was nonsense, but no way of proving. I need to chase Audi for the independant towing service i had to pay. Started to draft a big complaint letter. Will share when done. Best of luck everyone, we are all in this mess together and must all push Audi to do better. H
  22. My RS6 suffered the same as you will see from my posts, Bath Audi have the experience and should sort this under warranty
  23. Just wondering where is the best place to post an adverts for my audi a5 for sale. Thanks in advance. Regards, Alen
  24. Hi All Audi q8 owner here 2019 mild hybrid. I have the exact same issue and was stranded on a busy road without being able to put even hazard lights on. AA told me def alternator issue. Changed battery this did not help much. Start stop issue was my first symptom. Spoke with both Bristol and Bath branches, both saying same thing you need to tow car for diagnostic and we will asses and let you know the costs. Bristol mentioned that they maybe able to speak with Audi UK and see if this is covered with extended warranty and if there is any goodwill can offer. Which branch would you recommend and who should I be speaking with. Any help would be greatly appreciated. From past posts I can see Bath sounds better. Thank you!
  25. Hi all Can someone put my mind at ease. I have an Audi A5 b8.5 model. The air vents when turned to max (12), seem to be loud - best way I could describe it is like a humming/jet engine type of noise. If I turn it down to 10, it disappears. Is this sort of noise normal, I can attempt to take a video or sound to demonstrate but if anyone can check that'll be great By the way, I have attempted to play around with the settings i.e. Sync settings, changing air-flow etc Thanks Ravi
  26. Hi does anyone know if the 012 manual transmission fits the 2.7t engine? Kind regards

  28. Think it took me a couple of hours but that’s what I do for a job, I would pop down the centre roof trim at the back to secure the wiring to the factory loom at the hinge. Il post a picture of the coding that got mine working properly eventually
