dmck12 started following DAB radio stopped working

im also experiencing same issue mines is an audi A1 sline year 2017, all fm channels seem to be working just fine but my dab channels randomly stopped working about week and a half ago, i booked in with my audi dealership for a diagnostics check which cost £150 plus vat and they have came back saying the dab antenna is on the back windscreen left pannel disguised as 2 small copper wires and as i have my window tinted this and general wear and tear over the years has caused this problem i would need to replace my back windsceen and was told roughly it would cost between 700-800 pounds if i wanted them to deal with it, i explained to them my car came with the back windscreen tinted and iv had the car for well over a year now and never had this problem until lastweek not to mention loads of other audi owners are experiencing the same problem all round about the same time so dont think this is what caused the issue but audi was certain in what they were saying, Then after reading posts on different forums etc its clearly nothing to do with having the back windscreen tinted or even general wear and tear as it is a widespread problem with audi owners at the moment so doing some further research on my own i found out the problem lies with dab changing to dab+ so audi was clearly wrong and just looking to gain £700-800 out of me ontop of the £150 +vat for a diagnostics check. Thankfully i refused for them to carry out replacing the back windscreen and saved myself being out of pocket as this would not have solves the problem regardless

Alternator failure related to mild hybrid system?
Alrawis replied to PocketsAintEmptyCuh's topic in Audi A7 Club
Seeing the recent postings has brought all the horrible memories back. I hope you all get it sorted and covered by audi. as soon as my A8 was sorted, I sold it immediately and got an i7 and never looked back. it’s not even the aggro of getting it all sorted for free but the number of weeks you spend without the car. I never want to go through that experience with a premium car ever again. -
You can get the gearbox ECU remapped too. But if damage is done you might have to change megatronics unit
-
Think it has to be done e at the main dealer.

Keep us posted on how you get on

-
Hi! I am also concerned that my Audi A2 1.4 BBY has low idle speed. Were you able to adjust it programmatically?

figo_rulz11 started following Clicking noise when full lock

I have same problem on my B9 A4 2017. I hear it more in the winter but seems to ease up a little in the summer. Happens during full lock / turning. Car drives fine through, no issues, drives straight. My garage took a look in Jan this year and said everything looks good with the suspension/joints etc no rips or tears etc. He even greased the engine mounts i think but that didn't seem to help much. Haven't experienced any significant issues driving though. Feels safe. I do have my MOT coming up in November I think so will see what MOT tester says as CV joints is something that is checked.

Alternator failure related to mild hybrid system?
DieSel-Q replied to PocketsAintEmptyCuh's topic in Audi A7 Club
Hardip, please report how the diagnosis goes - maybe your dealer is one that's on the ball. There are some that seem to be getting bounced into doing more tests by Audi. -
Can’t take it back until I get the map removed. Gearbox oil was done just over 2 months ago. My original thought was to stage 2 it but with a gearbox fault at stage one it’s making me think twice you get used to the power so quickly and always want more
-
Can we take it you now have a wheel brace then?
-
Hi Sandra welcome to the chat please don’t pay for any diagnostic as it appears to be a transmission issue with national DAB stations moving over to DAB+ which 2014 - 2018 Audis don’t appear to be able to connect to The change happened at the end of March

Danoid started following Sat Nav update
-
Hello, Apologies if it’s been asked a thousand times but posting this incase things have changed. My father in law has an Audi A4 2014 black edition, the sat nav has never been updated. Whats the best and cheapest way to update the maps to the latest version? I have a Skoda Superb 2016 and it’s very easy and free direct to update maps from Skoda website, but annoyingly the Audi isn’t as far as I’m aware. If there’s anything I need to provide please let me know and possibly how to get the details, from what I understand the Audi unit is called something mmi? So if you need current version numbers etc I should be able to provide I’ve seen websites online where you can buy SD cards but how legit they are I don’t know so hoping someone has experience here. thanks!

Oh wow, I'm so glad I found this forum! I've been dealing with the same issue—my DAB stopped working about a week ago on my 2018 Audi A1, and it's been driving me mad trying to figure out what's wrong. I'm planning to call my local Audi dealership tomorrow to see if anyone else has reported it.

Thank you all for your comments, suggestions and experiences. So far, local Audi dealer verbally told me a 7 year extended warranty exists, so having paid a small fortune to get a independant towing service to drop the car to them, its with Audi now and i can pay for the privelege to get it checked. After that, either they accept or dont, will know in 72 hours as per what the dealership told me. Im hoping they dont screw up and destroy the main battery during the checking process. H -
Thanks, Steve. I bought it from Big Motoring World in Enfield- quite disappointed with this but I will report back and let you know what they say.... I literally bought it on Sunday just gone!

Just joined having seen a link earlier and reading the messages . Exact same issue 2018 Q3 , drove to work 25 March parked up a week and when on return drive ( 1st April) not getting any of my favourites on D1 National or SDL National DAB . Still getting the BBC and some local ( ish ) stations on DAB . Very frustrating 🤬
-
The foam kit is taken out and the 19 inch saver fits with the locking cap though and only need a jack now and yes the space is the issue
-
Was tuned into gold on D1 Nat, now no signal. It's+ on that station so was receiving + stations. Just mentioned as doesn't seem like just a dab+ issue. Hope Mark can enlighten us all.

Thank you. The garage said that they'll try to find a solution from an Audi mechanic. The power steering was working perfectly prior to me taking to the garage. They replaced front break calipers and repair an oil leak. Their computer system did not come up with a solution. I feel that it's their causing this problem. I don't intend to fork out massive amount of money again, as this last repair cost over €600.

Looks a lovely A6. You could aways wrap it instead of painting it.
-
Id recommend a diagnostic check to see if any fault codes flag up. This should be done by the dealer who sold it free of charge if purchased within the first 30 days of sale.
