Regarding the Brake Servo restricted warning light - if you haven't replaced the sensor, DO NOT DRIVE IT!!! The braking may feel normal, but you run the risk of triggering the ABS cycles enough times that it will brick the ABS, leaving you with a VERY BIG bill! Just buy the replacement sensor (OEM or an aftermarket) asap and fit it yourself - it's dead easy to do (1/2 minute job)!

Hi all, So glad I discovered this forum. 6 weeks ago, while reversing my 2016 A6 S line, my dashboard started to light like a Christmas tree, showing the following errors/faults: - stabilisation control (ESC/ABS): fault!, see owners manual - hold assist: unavailable - main beam assist: system fault - tire pressure: system fault! - parking brake! - Audi adaptive light: system fault! - brake servo restricted. You can continue driving. Please contact workshop. Since then, I probably did a further 500 miles and the car drives as normal...or at least I didn't feel anything suspicious with it; lights work ok, it brakes ok, steering wheel is ok, parking brake holds ok. Have any of you experienced similar? Do you have any advice? Thank you.

I replaced it myself and solved the issue. What I did find was a million sycamore seeds under the panel there

Thought I'd loop back on this. Garage replaced the sensor, issue went away! Brake booster was a red herring.

Lol looks like I've watched one of his videos before on how to fix the fuel flap sticking, another common one 😂 https://youtu.be/3204cavV4iM?si=_ccNMfSZmmE6PzNE

Got you, thanks mate, thought you meant the noise was turbo related, sorry. Did anyone have a look at yours for a 2nd opinion etc?

Sorry for the confusion, but I was just pointing you in the direction of the dudes channel, nothing to do with the noises 😊 he has some great content on our car model.

The warranty would become void as soon as you modify the car. -
Possible fault in Instrumentation Control Cluster

Your choice of course, but a quick internet search revealed three companies in Eire that do this sort of work. -
Thanks for the response, excuse my ignorance, how would I check that

Audi 80 Cabriolet Plastic Window Replacement
Chris Davies replied to Chris Davies's topic in Classic Audi Club
Hi Steve, There’s no warranty as such for the replacement rear window. I think I’ll take the plunge and install one and then have a go at stitching it in too using an awl and the old holes from original stitching. I’ll photograph and video some of the steps and post it here to help others in the same situation. All the best, Chris -
Have you looked online how much a used one would be, this would be used to just check basic functions as would be coded to different vehicle but should still get high beam function with the stork

No reason t go to Audi, you're looking at £200 a hour plus they will probably run a diagnostic scan, so you're probably best part of £350 and they won't have lifted a screwdriver. Search out a Bosch electrical technician or fit a new relay. Double check part: https://www.lllparts.co.uk/product/4H0951253A/skoda-4h0951253a-relay

Possible fault in Instrumentation Control Cluster
HeatherG replied to HeatherG's topic in Audi A3 (8P) Forum
Ah, thank you very much. However, I live in Ireland and w Brexit, posting stuff to UK for repair is a nightmare of UK paperwork and customs charges and confiscations if the paperwork isn't spot on (I know from trying to have a sextant repaied in the UK!). I'm not sure there's anywhere suitable in Ireland. However, I'm bringing it to my local mechanic, who is helpful and quite good, and possibly to a Polish guy nearby who's supposed to be a wizard with electronics and finding a way to do things like this cheaply, maybe w second hand parts. Thanks a million for your response, though. V helpful. -

That video is a blown turbo like whistles or whirrs when you rev it, engine management light on and losing oil, I have none of those symptoms. I have exact match to your first post. No worries if you didn't get to the bottom of it mate, thanks for your message though

Mine just seems to over run on starter motor, prob 2 secs after engine fires. Seen others saying it's as starter motor wears the engagement onto the fly wheel doesn't release and withdraw as quick as it should, which sounds like makes sense. Mentions recondition or replace starter just wanted to see if you got yours sorted as either way over £150 if a simple fix possible

Thanks found the relay. Looks like someone has been there by the previous owner. I wondered what the plastic tray with broken clips was that I found in the glove compartment, turned out to be the headlight control module carrier. Module is taped up to secure by whoever fiddle around before. With no way of testing if the module is working or been replaced. Am I right in what I've researched that replacing this module. Does it need coding to the car? I feel a trip to Audi coming on for a diagnosis and a hefty fee. Just want a little understanding of the problem before I get in for a repair... thanks for advice Phil

Well mines still doing it. It hasnt got any worse. theres a YouTuber (link below) and his car appears to do it also ; heard in a couple of his videos) I’m not saying it’s normal but it seems to be common. Let us know if you get it sorted.

I will leave a link to my youtube video, uploaded it so please if anyone can see whats wrong, just bought new pirelli tires 265/35/20 like these summer tires, but the sound still persists , could it really be a wheel bearing, should I change that? -
The sound ? Or the other issue? What engine is yours?

Bless ya. At least you've had the experience of owning a sports car and those good memories with it will stay with you 🙂
