Volume-audi Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 So I have this noise coming from my Audi a3 (2004 plate. 1.6.) Now the engine warning light is either on or flashing with the light to the left on until I restart the car (maybe traction control) usually it happens under acceleration. Could this be a blocked or broken catalytic converter? Please can someone please help me. Many thanks in advance. David. 20180122_212328.mp4 20180122_212328.mp4

Volume-audi Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 I haven't done anything like that yet. Due to work I can't get it to any garage. She also juders when accelerating...
cliffcoggin Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 As Piotr said, you need to take it to a garage. The warning lights only tell you there is some sort of fault, they do not give specific information on what the fault is.
Volume-audi Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 So now I have white smoke coming from the exhaust and I've attached a picture of the codes below.
niedzial1983 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Did you delete these faults and scan again to see what is coming back ? Some might be historic ? Re coolant it could be a leak in to the engine with would explain the loss and white smoke
Volume-audi Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 I did delete those faults and a smaller list came up, but this time it was a misfire on cylinder 4 and shareware version?? Prior to this happening I was emptying a 2 litre bottle of oil into her every two weeks.......
niedzial1983 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 To be hones you need a visit to the garage that will diagnose and fix the issue . Probably imposible to help online buy guessing what this could be... 1
Volume-audi Posted January 27, 2018 Author Posted January 27, 2018 Usually I would of done this but I wanted to see of it was going to be worth getting it sorted
