nucFAN
Hi all, I just got my second handed A4 Avant 2008 2.0T Manual for 2 weeks from a local car dealer. Out of sudden, the car told me that I need to fill the oil. Now I am asking, is it possible to ask the car dealer to fill the oil for me, concerning the very short period I bought the car from them. If not, can you recommend any types of oil? And is it safe for the engine to be working with the mixed new oil with those oil which were already there? Cheers for any information. Steve Q
Hi Yong, I'd say it's definitely worth you speaking to the dealer where you bought the car from. How many miles have you covered in it since you bought it? Cheers Steve
nucFAN
Thanks Steve. I actually talked to the dealer, but he asked myself to fill up. Now I have filled it up by myself... Buying an used car is not easy...

nucFAN
Hi Steve, I almost forget this post. What makes me more frustrated is that a severe fault appeared, regarding that my car couldn`t start as the "Parking Brake Malfunction" on the dashboard. I searched online for some others` experience. I sent a few emails to the dealer to warn them that my rights as a consumer should be respected. But the dealer seemed really confident not repairing my car, even I bring this case to court. So now I am struggling if I should bring the case to court. If I do and lose the case, I would lose more money.
Steve Q
With regard to the parking brake I'd get a diagnostic check carried out to see what fault codes flag up. It could be something simple but again it could be expensive to fix. Cheers Steve
