Sabml Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 Hi all, new o this and was wondering if anyone has experience worn brake discs on new Audi. I have a TT on 2016 p,are and have been given a red warning on rear disc with 14k on the clock.
Magnet Posted January 30, 2018 Posted January 30, 2018 What is the history of the car Mark, and how long have you owned it? Kind regards, Gareth.
Sabml Posted January 31, 2018 Author Posted January 31, 2018 Hi Gareth, 18months old, bought 6 months old from Audi dealer. Full service history by Audi. Cheers.
Envy Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Smacks of binding brakes to me - colouration (blueing) is a strong indication of this. They do not look that badly lipped but scoring is down to opinion. Mine is they are safe to roll on but if in warranty and low milage then Audi have a case to answer.
Magnet Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Hello Mark, Thanks for the additional helpful information. If I'm interpreting the photo properly then I would say that the general surface water pattern, and particularly the scoring, is not what I would be expecting as normal wear on a car of this age and mileage. If it were mine, I would not be a happy bunny, and would be having a quiet word with Mr Sinclair? - where you bought it. Kind regards, Gareth.
