Steering Wheel Retrofit

Hi,

I hope this is in the right place and all, I tried looking for some rules but I may just be blind haha. 

I am looking to retrofit a flat bottom steering wheel into my A3 2004, however I'd love if I could get some function buttons working aswell to get the most use out of a newer wheel. I understand in an older car such as mine that I'll most likely need some code to map the function appropriately. I'm mainly just looking for some pointers in the right direction when going about purchasing.

• Do I need a specific model that works best?
• Best way to find/create the code needed?
• Average price i'm looking at the change it
