Ant1985 Posted February 12, 2018 Posted February 12, 2018 Hi all anyone know is it difficult to change front washer pump as I cant hear the motor trying to work and fuse is ok. Ive got a3 sport 2.0 tdi 2004.
cliffcoggin Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 I don't know about changing the pump, but before doing so I would check that power is getting to the connection first, in case the switch or the relay is faulty.
Ant1985 Posted February 13, 2018 Author Posted February 13, 2018 Ok. I don' know wether to just take it to a electrician and get them to sort it out
Steve Q Posted February 13, 2018 Posted February 13, 2018 That might not be a bad idea and get a diagnostic check carried out. Cheers Steve

Cheers Steve I got a diagnostic machine got a fault about electrical glowplug fault. Noticed this morning my water coolant went down. Do head gaskets go on these engines.
gervs Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 Just had the same problem on mine. Turned out it was a relay under the dash. Does your rear windscreen wiper work?

Does your rear windscreen wiper work? Hi mate. The rear windscreen wiper don't. How hard is it to change the relay? Could you post a pic of the location of relay please.

Open up the fusebox on the side and then remove the screw, and there's another underneath I think, you'll need to pop out the light control as well. This website has an image (last one) for the relay location, it was number 9 that I had to replace to get it working. The relay I bought from eBay for about £12 is 'Relay Number 460 1K0951253A'. has 460 written on it in big numbers.
a6blacked007 Posted February 12 Posted February 12 Have same issue myself on 59 1.9 tdi changed pump checked all fuses all good maybe give this a go
