cypher007 Posted February 26, 2018 Posted February 26, 2018 if I use a 2.0 TDI for short journeys what sort of options are out there to negate DPF problems? some thoughts are DPF kind remap or removable DPF, replace for MOT.
SteveHills68 Posted May 15, 2018 Posted May 15, 2018 I thought i had DPF issues which turned out to be an exhaust sensor (independent specialist found it , main dealer wanted to change DPF). He also told me they can be cleaned rather than replaced. I do motorway miles which means my will not need cleaning for a while however , he said it is quite a simple process. He advised me against a remap/removal.
Steve Q Posted May 16, 2018 Posted May 16, 2018 You should do at least one decent drive one a week to keep the dpf clear. Ie 30mins+ Cheers Steve
