A1WhiteLeeds Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Hi everyone. I’m new to this forum. It’s great by the way. Quick question....can a malfunction with the exhaust temp sensor effect a DPF filter Regen? Thanks.
Steve Q Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Welcome to the forum Dave, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) As a guess I would say yes. My key question s would be, what lights are coming up on the dash? Are you getting the glowplug light on or the emissions light on? Needless to say a new sensor will be cheaper than a new dpf! And have you had a diagnostic check carried out? Cheers Steve
A1WhiteLeeds Posted March 4, 2018 Author Posted March 4, 2018 Hi Steve and thanks for the welcome. I’m getting the engine management light, emissions light and the DPF regen light plus the start stop function has disabled itself. I’ve had it back to the garage I bought it from who hooked it up to the computer. The computer showed a lambda sensor malfunction. The car is going in for the repair on Monday. Thanks for the help.
Steve Q Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 You're welcome, glad I could help :) Please let us know how you get on and I do hope that the new sensor solves the problem :) Cheers Steve
A1WhiteLeeds Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 Hi I had the sensor changed. The car has been fine for over a month now. 👍
