AMI compatability

Hi,

I'm looking to play my iPod and have full function through the mmi 2g high running latest software.

From what i've read, the best way of doing this is to replace the CD changer with and AMI. The part number i've found is 4E0 057 785 with various letters for different versions.

I'm struggling to find a unit for a sensible amount of money so does anyone know:

1. if any other AMI's from different models are compatible?

2. somewhere to buy the correct AMI from?

Ami are good but old fasion 

Google 

Dension 500bt

Vns media bt 

Both have bluetooth streaming and usb/aux and will let you keep the cd changer

I have dension for over a year and works great

Does the Dension device you have support the factory telephone system to make hands-free calling along with Bluetooth music?

Are you able to post a video of the telephone in action using the gateway? I'm tempted to purchase a 3rd party alternative to AMI and the Bluetooth Phone Module but no videos show the telephone function in action so I'm still undecided.

Yes. So dension integrates fully with mmi and its controled via mmi controls and steering wheel buttons . And it does both streaming and hands free
