Naz Miah Posted March 26, 2018 Posted March 26, 2018 Hi, Does anyone know how this guy was able to install the sweeping indicators on these tail lights. These are the same tail lights as my 2013 Audi A6.
Steve Q Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Welcome to the forum Naz, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) Now I'm sure the US rear lights and headlights are different to the European spec ones. I think the European spec ones cannot be converted to have the sweeping indicators. I think the only way round it for you would be to buy a second hand set of the newer style light clusters and having them coded in (,if required). Cheers Steve
Naz Miah Posted March 28, 2018 Author Posted March 28, 2018 Hi Steve, Thanks for the advise, do you know if it would be a straight swap? I heard it there would be a small gap between the tail lights and the rear bumper.
Steve Q Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Yea they should fitbas the body shape is the same but I'm unsure about the gap. As I say you may have to have the new lights coded to the car. If you're fitting the updated rear lights then you may as well fit the updated headlights too. Cheers Steve
BlackbeautyA6 Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 With the Dynamic Rear indicators or front indicators you'll need the modules which attach to the light units, they are not cheap and you need to make sure your LED rear lights are capable to have Dynamic lights activated. There's a company that deals with them www.adcanced-incar.co.uk they sell a lot of retrofit parts for European cars. 2
