Hi fellow Audi lover's. Firstly, I would like to start with my car which is b7 cabriolet 3.2.
i am having extremely odd behaviour. The car is throwing a DTC warning light, engine light and sometimes the xenon's flicker slightly. I don't know if it is related but it would be strange for all them errors to just occour at once. This does not happen all the time so for a few days it's fine then it just starts. I have looked at many posts about this mainly with cars cutting out etc but mine is still running exactly the same and perfectly fine. Sometimes it does take a few seconds to start sometimes but it's always done that. If anyone has experienced anything like this or would have some idea of what it could be, it would be very appreciated if any kind person was to pass on the info. Many thanks

Hello Nathan,

As with all intermittent electrical problems, the first post of call should alway be eliminating poor battery performance, and indeed ensuring the alternator is giving sufficient output. I would take it for at least a 10 mile run and get the battery efficiency checked by say Halfords. Buying replacement batteries at Halfords? Would need to leave that for you to check.

Flickering xenons? Might be worth checking all light associated earths. In fact, I would be tending to check the main earth onto the engine/chassis to make sure it is serviceable.

Kind regards,

Gareth.
