rear boot light not fitted

I have taken delivery of a new 1.5tfsi A3 se Technic and the left side boot light does not work, in fact it does not have a fitting or any wires going to it. so only one side of my boot is illuminated. my local dealer says it comes this way as they would say that. anybody got any info?

Welcome to the forum Damon, you'll find the members on here are a friendly and helpful bunch :) 

Your Audi dealer is correct and you only get one boot light on your model. I believe you get 2 on the s line model and higher. Unless you had selected the storage pack when you ordered the car, in which case you would have got 2.
