WPAWS Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 here you go m8 https://vw-audi.oemdtc.com/193/safety-recalls-80c580c6-auxiliary-heater-2013-2016-audi-a5-a4-q5
Steve Q Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Obviously your car is at risk but I'd say the risk is low. Better to get it done sooner rather than later. Cheers Steve
SeanA4 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Same here. With the amount of mileage ive done since September it's going to need a service so I'll tie it in with that if I can.
Benjamin Posted April 24, 2018 Posted April 24, 2018 The recall takes an age to complete! I managed to amalgamate mine with my long life service due in 3 weeks time. When I asked how long it would take, they advised to allow a working day. Also, I was informed the heater element reaches it's upper limit and then triggers its thermal cut-out. So hopefully no fires!

Ste H Posted May 25, 2018 Posted May 25, 2018 I’ve had this done the other day on A4 avant- 2014 and I’ve noticed now that I’m getting a left dipped headlight / main beam fault coming up with a bulb picture and a x through it. The front light bulb still comes on for a bit then goes off again. Could they have knocked a part or sensor when they fixed the heater issue? The headlight was fine till they messed

You should see if they'll do a diagnostic check for free to see what fault codes flag up but good luck and let us know how you get on. Cheers Steve
Ste H Posted July 9, 2018 Posted July 9, 2018 They said the bulb has gone and needed a new one? Maybe it’s just a coincidence that it went the same time as the recall anyway they wanted over £200 for a xenon bulb so got one off the net for £66 same Philips one as that came out
james brown Posted July 9, 2018 Author Posted July 9, 2018 Recall last year . Emmisions. This year heater element.Audi centre 40miles away .waste of two days.and cost of fuel.Audi should pay for this. Have owned audis for 20 years .i think it's time for a change.
