A4 cab loud screech

Hi. 

Never had a problem with my A4 cab but suddenly when I stop and take the ignition key out there’s a loud howl after 5secs for about 2 secs. At the same time have occasional hood lifting problem. Feels like an electrical fault but any ideas?  Also anyone know a reliable garage either in Thanet where I live or Sittingbourne where I work?

the screech couldn't be a fan belt by any chance?
