Hi all,

I have been having an issue with my A4 1.8 TFSI (62 Plate) over the past couple of weeks.  Its been driving fine no concerns at all when one morning it wouldn't start and a display message comes up saying "Stabilisation Control (ESC) Fault.  The engine is turning over but won't start.  I have scouted online and there seems to be a mixed response to this.  I have had a diagnostic ran and been given a list of fault codes but nobody can seem to get information on them.

I have attached some pictures and a video

Any help or advice would be massively appreciated.

Cheers

Conor

Looks like battery failing... low voltage will show all kind of fault codes

Thanks for the reply. I've looked into the battery. I've taken it out and had it tested. Voltage and capacity came back ok. Its not an issue with the battery

Has any of you got the solution to the above problem? Been having the same problem for weeks now but wen the car was left in the son for a long time it started and was fine for two days but now its back there again

First simple port of call would be to get the battery efficiency checked - if only to eliminate this as a possible cause.

I'd get the battery checked as I bet your a5 is on its original one.

Changed the battery but unfortunately still having the same intermittent issue. Doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why it starts or not.

My next port of call would be a diagnostic check
