Hi there

Ordered this back in March and took delivery last week.

It replaced a 2010 model Range Rover Sport. Have been put off RR's by questionable reliability and the fact I have kind of gone off SUV's since having one. The Allroad seemed a good compromise since I wasn't keen on a Q5 and it doesn't appear to be a popular model in the UK so you don't see that many on the road.

Wasn't 100% sure when I took delivery - it perhaps appeared a bit ordinary. However after driving for a week I am very pleased with it. It generally does everything a lot more efficiently than the RR, particularly fuel economy on the 190PS 2.0TDi. I am regularly seeing 45mpg with mixed driving. The in car technology is brilliant although took a bit of fiddling around to get it all to work with my phone etc.

I also find I don't get the looks of hatred that driving the RR seemed to attract.

Only downside is that it is expensive, and because I ticked most of the options the price far exceeded the new £40k road tax threshold so I pay £450 a year instead of £140.

I basically didn't get the parking assistance pack, head up display or damping control, but got everything else. The tech pack was the best option - it is just so well executed. I also took the controversial choice of having brown leather and walnut trim as so many seem to be black with aluminium which I felt to be too clinical and I wanted to have a warmer interior . The result is perfect for me although it may be marmite to some!

The interior looks lovely and I know what you mean about the bushed allumium. I think the Walnut trim sets the interior off nicely and blebds it all together 🙂

I bought a virtually new ex-demo Allroad a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with it. It’s drinking less fuel than my old A5, which pays for the extra road tax. Only niggle is no reversing camera...but I’ll be getting one fitted. Great car.

Sounds like the electronics are getting wet. Have you checked to see if your carpets are wet?

Steve,

Thanks for the reply, have checked all carpets under drivers and passengers side all are dry. i also checked the drains by the edge of the windscreen to see if there blocked and they look ok.

Anyone got a recommendation for a specialist garage i could use the Audi dealers haven't got a clue.

I'm shocked Audi hasn't got a clue. There should be more comeback from them as it's a approved used. Also have you got finance on it? If door might be worth speaking to the finance company to see if they can declare the car not fit for purpose. My other advice would be to take it to an auto electrician to see if they can do d out what's up with it.

Steve,

Bought the car cash no finance. Was wondering why Audi Tamworth put of the test drive till 6pm so they could work a lemon on me. Have rung to large Auto electrical shops and both have said they cannot do anything as only main dealer can check software.

Going to try Birmingham Audi again soon anyway got another fault to sort occasionally car wont start when pushing start button, says starting engine then just does nothing. other times works fine. also got to get a quote for new chrome window trim as after i wen to car wash it all turned white.

Should of had another Mondeo lol.

Definitely try another dealer. As I had a bad experience with one Ford garage for my Ford kuga daily (Audi is in semi retirement) abd had to go to another dealer to get good service. Regarding the chrome trim, what car wash was it? I ask as some hand car washers use certain acids not designed to be used on cars.

Ironic you say that about the Mondeo as a fellow member has just bought one
