Audi I-Tray (Project)

After seing someone's idea of converting the front ash tray into an Iphone/Ipod tray i thought id give it a bash. Seems to be coming along nicely but alot more fiddley than i expected. Iv managed to get the cable in place and im ready for bonding it to the ash tray. I then need to find some suitable filler to make the tray a flush fit before i sand/smooth it all down and spray it black.

I will grab a couple of photo's long the way to give you a better idea of what mess im making ;)

That looks really cool, i was thinking about doing the same thing in the coin holder but then thought maybe it was a bad idea, I may do something like this but with two docks, as i and the wife both use iPhone's it would be handy for long journeys, obviously only the man (drivers) side would be connected to the stereo, the other a charge point.

It is a good idea. Of course the driver always has the final word on the radio :)
