Upgrading to paddle shift steering wheel

I have an audi a4 b8 2.7tdi auto and it has a 4 spoke steering wheel. I would really like to upgrade it to a paddle shift one preferably a flat bottom is this possible to do. Can the paddle shift be programmed to change gears ? If so could you please point me out what would fit on the car!

I'm afraid not , you would need to swap the gearbox for the DSG (if available, I dont think there is a DSG option) version and retro all the associated electronics.

So the cars in the same variant that have placeshift steering wheel come with a dsggear box is that correct ? 

I have seen some on YouTube that put a paddle shift steering wheel retro fitted however don't have much knkwlage of it at all
