Mark briggs Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I'm waiting to replace my timing belt but I have found a sticker on the cover with a date of 2015 the car is a 2009 Audi a3 2.0tdi but all the words on the sticker are in German does this mean its been done or just a manufacturing sticker this is pure baffling me Thank you in advance
cliffcoggin Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 Two suggestions for you Mark: [1] If the belt was replaced by an official Audi garage then it will have been recorded on the Audi computer system. Ask Audi. [2] Try typing the German text from the sticker into Google Translate or similar to find out what it reads. I would guess the belt has been done, but it is important to check because belt replacement is critical to long term survival of the engine. 1
Steve Q Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 I have to agree with cliff it sounds like it's been done and as he has said any Audi dealers should be able to tell you 🙂 cheers Steve
