didi Posted August 10, 2018 Author Posted August 10, 2018 we must have posted at same time, yeah it is low, tooo low
niedzial1983 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 I think you should go back to sline springs. I bet some one have put some lowering springs and it sits like this now.
niedzial1983 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Under the spare wheel you have a build sticker . It has PR codes on what is instaled on the car . One of the codes in suspention . Decode the sticker here and will tell you what original suspension you had. http://prsearch.planetvag.com/
didi Posted August 11, 2018 Author Posted August 11, 2018 this is a photo of the sticker but not sure which numbers i need to use,can you tell me please
niedzial1983 Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Just enter all the numbers in the boxes on the link i have send you
Critical_mass Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Anyone know the colour codes the Sline 1bv springs should be.. one side of mine has yellow blue orange orange and nothing on the otherside - which appears to sit higher than the colour codes side. Im thinking someone has fitted an incorrect spring at some point - neither spring is broken from what i can see under the car. Cant find info on the A6 C6 spring colour codes.
niedzial1983 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Yellow yellow blue front Orange orange blue yellow rear

niedzial1983 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 They could have been replaced for non oem parts
Critical_mass Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Just now, niedzial1983 said: They could have been replaced for non oem parts Yeah thats what im thinking. Can i assume the spring colours will always be on part of the spring thats visible without removing it?
niedzial1983 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 To be sure you may need to remove wheel linnings. Fronts are easier to see than rear
niedzial1983 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Also the colours dont really mean the type of the suspension , colors are indications for weight capacity ( ei is it for 2.0 2.7 3.0 3.2 4.2 etc )
Critical_mass Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Can you remove the springs without the special audi spring compressor?
niedzial1983 Posted August 13, 2018 Posted August 13, 2018 Yep. I had mine 2 rear replaced by a local garage few weeks ago
Critical_mass Posted August 14, 2018 Posted August 14, 2018 That good news id looked at cost of the spring compressors and they're pricey. May I ask what was the cost of the springs and the labour cost - as a rough estimate?
