Hi everyone,

I purchased my 1st Audi today and it's a 63 plate Audi A5 Cabriolet TDI S Line with 45k miles on the clock.  Really pleased with it and just looking for some advice as the dealer has offered me the option of taking the RAC Platinum Maintenance and Breakdown cover for £499 for 3 years.  I don't need breakdown cover as this comes with my bank account so my question is whether the maintenance cover is worth it or not and do Audi do any similar plans which are worth looking into?

Thanks and appreciate  any advice you can offer.

Personally I'd use the £500 on treating yourself or the missus

I pay £34 P.A for the full RAC package, including home start and it covers me regardless of what car or who's car i'm in

i`m the same, i would not waste my money. but its your choice if you know exactly what is and not covered under the warranty £500 could be a nice little break away :yahoo:

Audi Quoted £700 for a minor service !

A6 C6 3.0 Le Mans unrestricted 165 mph monstrer which returns at least 30 mpg

Best bet is to walk into local police station and ask them then you'll know for sure
