Economy Issues

Hi all.

I have got a 2012 1.6tdi. I'm having a issue with the economy. Till a few months ago I had a focus 16.tdci and on my run to work would easily get 50mpg. However now with the A3 I am struggling to get 40mpg driving super eco style.

There is no lights on dash. I have had to serviced yearly. Had a carbon clean last year. 

Anyone have any suggestions of what's going on? Or is sadly this just how it meant to be?

Hi Joss, it all depends on your driving style and the commute to work I'm affraid. You could always get a diagnostic check for piece of mind.

I drive on 90% A roads to work and I used my wifes car last week and got over 60mpg so don't think its driving style. I think scan would have to be way forward but got no lights on dash ect.
