Gkinghorn Posted October 16, 2018 Posted October 16, 2018 I found this in my loft as I was clearing it out . I figure it’s either from my 2012 A3 Cabriolet OR my A3 Sportsback , also 2012 (both now sold) The thing is I can’t think this is from my Cabriolet but it has a windbreak (or is it a rear sunshade? ) on it which makes me think it is from the Cab... there is no part number on it to go look and every parcel shelf I look at online doesn’t show the windbreak bit... any ideas folks? thanks
PeteB Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Don't know for sure as I don't have an A3, but, the mesh stuff doesn't look like a windbreak to me, more of a load seperator/dog gaurd type of thing. Try looking for a comparison on eBay or some such. 1
Gkinghorn Posted October 19, 2018 Author Posted October 19, 2018 Thanks ..I had a look but didn’t see the same there...
PeteB Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Try putting the part number into a search engine - I've done that before with something else.
Gkinghorn Posted October 19, 2018 Author Posted October 19, 2018 There is no part number ..just the Audi logo...
spr97ajm Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 That looks identical to the parcel shelf in my 2008 A3 Sportback S-Line. It's a sun shade. Andy.
niedzial1983 Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Cabrio also has wind deflector similar to this ...
spr97ajm Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 Maybe they just put the same item into both vehicles and call it a wind deflector in the Cabriolet and a sun shade in the Sportback.
spr97ajm Posted February 9, 2019 Posted February 9, 2019 If it's for the Cabriolet, what do the 2 strings attach to? Surely they are the lifting strings that hook onto the hatchback?
Gkinghorn Posted February 9, 2019 Author Posted February 9, 2019 Thanks for the responses. Happy to close this now as i ended up binning it since i couldn't find anyone who wanted to buy it ... Cheers fellas
