Winter wheels/tyres for A6 Allroad 2011 (3LitreTDI)

Hi..Just got above car which has 19 inch wheels on it. Wanted to go down to say 17 inch and add winter tyres.

 

A) Can i go down to this size and if so what do i need to look out for re wheel width, offset etc?

B) Or do i stick to 19 inch and buy winter tyres?

Try your drivers door label for tyre and wheel sizes. You will need to keep them same offset.
