Hi I’m new here so excuse me if this is in the wrong place, the problem I have is that I’ve recently purchased an A5 convertible 2.0 tdi 177 bhp and wish to put a tow bar on the back for the small caravan we have but apparently the cooling system needs modifications such as a twin fan a new module and something else which escapes me otherwise according to Audi it’ll overheat with the extra workload, anybody know anything about this please ?

I’m gutted as I’ve done my homework beforehand and apart from lack of space the car was deemed to be a good tow car. Thanks in advance.

Can't say I've heard about this but a twin electric fan set up can't hurt. How big is the caravan?

Cheers

But it will hurt my pocket as the cheapest quote  I have is £750 Audi want £1,100 !! It’s only a relatively small van compared to most you see, I think we’ll suck it and see for a while and keep our eye on the temp gauge with a few local trips to begin with before we venture abroad.
