Engine Start Fault

I started my Audi and a yellow key and exclamation mark came up on my dash, together with ‘engine start fault’ the engine keeps running until you take the key out. It’s been diagnosed but no fault code came up....any information would be really appreciated 😊

Those diagnostic tools are not infallible. Who carried out the diagnosis? A friend with a reader, or an Audi agent? One might expect a professional would be competent enough to resolve the problem without the electronic diagnosis, but experience suggests otherwise.
