Reuben1976 Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Hi. Need some advice on repairing my glovebox lid on my 2009 A3 Sline. Not the hinge itself but the lid has cracked close to l/h hinge causing a drop and won’t close easily. I’ll attach a pic. I’m thinking a strong adhesive and something screwed in with self tappers to span the crack. Not keen on changing the whole glove box. !Removed! centre arm lid clip snapped other day so ordering a faux leather cheap replacement for that and could do without doing the whole glovebox too. Cheers in advance ( no glitter or PVA jokes please )
cliffcoggin Posted March 15, 2019 Posted March 15, 2019 It seems to be a common problem, though not one I have suffered. Why not fit a secondhand part? Many car breakers nowadays are on line and will post from anywhere in the country. It's how I got a replacement head rest. 1
Steve Q Posted March 17, 2019 Posted March 17, 2019 I too would recommend getting a second hand one to be honest.
