Hi there

I have an Audi a6 2.5 TDI saloon. Mileage is 150k

The issue is when I am at a stand still and try to move off my car judders or hops and then I am able to drive.

I can manage a smooth pull off if I gently accelerate without the revs falling under 1000. But, putting g my foot down and shooting off doesn't work.

This app,ies to forward driving as well as reversing.

Can anyone give me a clue why this would be?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Paul,

Manual? If so, can you feel any pulsing at the clutch pedal as the clutch starts to bite?

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hello Gareth,

No, my car is automatic. I can drive e off without any judder if I take my time and slowly accelerate. Otherwise, I can put my foot down to drive as normal and you get the judder.

This only lasts for a few seconds until I get moving.

Thanks

Thanks a Paul,

If this were mine, I would be first inspecting all engine and gearbox mountings to ensure they are serviceable.

If they are, then it’s really a case of taking a trip to a trusted automatic gearbox specialist and getting an opinion on what is wrong here. Sometimes (at that mileage) the gearbox can benefit from a fluid and filter change, but I am sure they will advise you on this possibility.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth,

I think you may be correct and the gear box may benefit from fresh gear box oil.

I just want it to be anything sinister.

Thanks
