iPhone maps through MMI

Hi after looking into getting my sat nav enabled and having no luck other than to pay Audi £500 I was wondering if there’s a way of viewing google maps from an iPhone through the MMI or would the ‘vehicle in motion ‘ restriction prevent it from working .Any thoughts appreciated

You would need to get CarPlay setup in your car for this to work. There are two ways to do this, the first is a "hacked" MIB2 unit with Audi Smartphone activated. The second is one of those Chinese add-on units which give you CarPlay. A lot depends on your current cars equipment. I went for the first option as I prefer the OEM method but it cost me about a grand!
