Hi guys completely new to the forum and Audi’s! just wondering whether anyone could be of any help..

I purchased my sq5 2 weeks ago, 30k miles, full service history etc. Me and my partner have had 2 weeks of Happy driving until yesterday evening, I had a check engine light appear on the dials!
I had access to a scanner - and found that it’s the air/fuel sensor. Prior to this happening I was on the dual carriageway when the car felt as though it was loosing and regaining power ever so slightly - am I right in assuming this would be caused by this sensor issue?

Following finding this I checked the onboard computer to see oil levels and found it reading the message to ‘ lower oil level ‘ ??

Upon speaking to the garage the car was purchased from, the chap didn’t seem particularly interested and told me I had warranty But it was dealt with by somebody else, the number is on the paperwork were his words.

Really just clutching at straws as don’t know where to start. Am I better off going to main Audi dealership and getting them to look over car or am I likely to have my pants pulled down and charged a fortune?

thanks in advance guys any help will be massively appreciated

I also have recently bought an SQ5 and same age so im following this thread.

My personal recommendation would be first try and get it sorted through the warranty as that's what its there for, plus I know my local Audi garage charges 100 quid an hour.

Failing that knowing what you have spent on the car I would take it to Audi direct for a once over.

Hi - I had the engine light come on a while ago and had it diagnosed at an Audi specialist - it was down to carbon build up engine cylinder head secondary air ports which is a common issue for older SQ5 - pre 2104.  The first time it happened i had it covered by warranty but it reoccurred a year later and it cost me £600 to have the carbon cleaned out.  I am now waiting for the light to go on again as i know it is bound to happen.  In the US Audi have admitted there is an issue and have extended the warranty to 10 years or 120k miles which ever comes first.

Try using a Company called TERRACLEAN, they have some kit that puts a chemical in instead of diesel it cleans everything inside engine. Check them out they have agents in most counties, its been on TV as well.

Hello everyone,
I have a question regarding the 2014 Audi SQ5. A few months ago a car was bought and after a few weeks it all started. I get in the car, I press the Start / stop button, the car won't start, it doesn't give any sign, as if there is no key. Sometimes a signal appears, but for a millisecond, it is barely noticeable. And after a long time, after pressing the button 50 times, the car starts. Sometimes it works right away, and sometimes it won’t work at all. I drove the car to an authorized service center, but it did not report any error and they do not know what kind of malfunction it is.
If anyone happens to know what the problem is, please send me an email.
Thanks in advance

I'm guessing the keyless fob batteries have been changed? Abd have you had the system reset? That might help.

Thanks Steve,

I changed the batteries in the key. Still the same thing. The car will not start on either the button or the lock. As if he doesn't recognize the key.
