Sorry to hear of your problem.

Is this really a 1968 car? 

If so, I wonder where you are going to find another one as a spares car, and if you do, what are the economics of buying that, getting the engine removed and swapped into your existing one, when considered against getting your existing crankshaft issue sorted via grinding and new bearings. 

Perhaps you could fill in a little more detail.
