Hi,Guys and Girls,

A year ago i had to say good bye馃槶 to my beautiful 2001 A6 C5, I heard a big bang from my living room looked out side to find my neighbours Vauxhall Mokka at the rear of my car, went out and saw the damage he had done came back in and cried (for a long time!)20190415_092201.thumb.jpg.2fac81df786a84b7450faaa514d99bec.jpg

20190415_092150.thumb.jpg.d61a3751a7bfe06159594dcdd95e1dc7.jpg

his excuse was he was putting air in his tyres and had to move it so the valves were at the top, he said he was in it when he did it (its an auto) but i later found out from another neighbour who witnessed what happened, he was standing next to it and then put into聽reverse nearly running him over in the process,i couldn't believe his stupidity.

As you can probably tell i'm still upset about it馃槶,聽But i now Have another C5聽 so thats easing the pain somewhat but it took me 9 months to find it.

I had a Volvo S60 2.4 D5 with 205000 miles in between but it didn't hold a candle to my Audi,

on a lighter note, i've told my neighbour if he goes within 50ft of my new one he'll end up with a very high pitched voice!!馃榿

thanks for reading馃槈

Welcome back Angela, so sorry for your previous loss. I too had a similar situation with my a6 c5. Thankfully the insurance company rebuilt mine. I was hit from behind by a Volvo xc60. It wrote the Volvo off completely!聽

Have you got any pics of your new c5?聽

Hope you're pleased with it 馃檪

Cheers

Hi Steve,

i'm glad yours was repaired, can't believe the volvo was written off馃槻, mine had to much damage under the boot, assessor said if he'd hit her square on she聽might have been saved, but worst of all the Mokka only had a tiny scuff!! Heres some pics of my new one20200413_144552.thumb.jpg.95d40820b4c8ce6adbdb6aaefce3c579.jpg

thats my husbands bum! 馃ぃhe's just finished polishing her20200413_145135.thumb.jpg.6509ba87e49a0388a575b89d5656b0aa.jpg

I'm very happy, hopefully i'll have this one a lot longer!

Very nice looking a6 you have there. Looks to be SE spec like mine. Same wheels as mine. Lovely colour too, and a rare one at that. What goodies does it have?聽

Happy Easter by the way 馃檪

Thanks聽

It's an SE with cream leather interior, heated seats, parking sensors, climate control,it doesn't have the uprated stereo like my last one with the disc changer in the boot but it actually sounds better聽馃檪

I've never seen my colour before its aqua pearl apparently, they always seem to be silver or green like my last one.

What colour is yours? Do you have lots of toys聽

Happy Easter聽

Very nice spec. Heated leather seats are nice. I wish mine were heated. Parking sensors are rare. I'm guessing it's the concert radio? It's an easy upgrade to symphony radio like mine I believe. Mine has the 6 CD changer but built into the head unit. Later symphony radios post facelift 2001 onwards) had the six CD changer built into the dash聽

Yea, yours is a rare colour. I don't know the exact colour of mine. My dad bought it new in 2002 and I inherited it. It's got leather, sports seats, 3 spoke sports steering wheel, symphony radio, 7 seater option. Wooden inlays, towbar.聽

What engine is yours? Mine is the 2.5tdi and manual gearbox.聽

What mileage is on yours? Mine is on 332k on the original engine and gearbox which have never been rebuilt.聽

Any interior shots?聽

Thanks.

Kind regards

Steve聽

wow its a credit to you and your dad,its in great condition,it doesn't look like its done 330k+,聽like the colour too its a bit like a gun metal and your driver information screen is good too, mine gets a little bit faded around the edges when i've been in it a long time.

mine is a 2.4 SE V6 (i like that bit馃榿) cvt, its just coming up to 111000k low mileage, but my last one馃槶 was even lower at 89,000,聽

i shall look into the stereo so hopefully i can change it.

i will take some more pics tomorrow and post them.

Thank you 馃槉 it has been well cared for. Has been to Europe and all across the UK. Yea it's a lovely colour 馃槉 nice engine. I'm sure that's the model Jeremy Clarkson reviewed when the car was first released. I'll find the YouTube video for you 馃檪

Yea the radio should fit ok.聽

Brill, look forward to seeing more pics

You should think about attending some of the shows with your a6. Usually I'm the only a6 c5 there on our club displays.聽

Thanks for the you tube clip, i think Clarksons wrong though Audi is best馃憤(i might be a bit biased!!)

I was sitting in Sainsbury's car park this morning, sent聽the other half in to get the essentials and i was playing about with my stereo realised聽it said symphony and then i remembered you mentioned about the facelift after 2001 having the 6 disc changer, so i pressed the load button and low and behold it has one!! Doh!聽馃檮 but i blame Audi as the Volvo聽had聽it written on the stereo itself聽馃槒

Anyway here's some more pics, oh and how do you like my number plate?!!
