Siva Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 Hi Guys A Health Check during a routine service at the main dealer flagged up the issue of 'oil leak from upper sump' and quoted a price of £4030. I was told that it would be 20+ hours of labour. There was never an issue of having to top up the oil more often than normal and no sign of oil leakage on the driveway. There are other issues with the car - steady orange light about air suspension and diagnosed as 'fault to the rear right dampening valve' needing further inspection with a range of potential problem including compressor which could cost around £3000. There is no obvious driving issues either with suspension or noise from engine. The car is 8 years and clocked 101k miles. Huge dilemma time! Any suggestions about proceeding with the work, risk it with a 'wait and watch approach and do nothing' or it is not worth bothering and go a part exchange? Thanks for your help.
spencergao Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 Oil leak/headgasket potential problem seems common on Q7 now, I will share my experience with Stoke Audi, let us have a discussion from there. NB: quality of Audi is in doubt, I recommend purchasing 3rd party warranty for piece of mind as yours over 100K mileage
