Avant power boot lid latch fault?

Hi, when my power boot lid closes and the latch that is in the boot floor pulls down on it to close, the motor in it has start making a "ticking" sound for about 3 seconds after the lid has closed. I then get the boot open warning on my dash. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a fix. I've taken the latch mechanism out to get the part number and Audi want close to £200 for a new one?

You could try a second hand part to see if that resolved the issue.

My car's boot doesn't open. Do I just need to change the tailgate lock or is there also a problem with the boot external handle?
