Jaime Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 Hi all. Our car is at the Audi dealership today for a diagnosis. We took delivery of the car 2/3 weeks ago. I noticed the sound system didn't sound AMAZING as a B&O should sound. I go into sound settings, all you see is bass & treble and nothing else. Also, the bass & treble just resets itself everytime we turn the car off and back on. We will have to see what they say. Fingers crossed the first call I get from them is to say it is fixed.
Steve Q Posted July 29, 2020 Posted July 29, 2020 It should be covered free of charge from the dealership you bought it from for the first 30 days. Cheers Steve
Jaime Posted July 29, 2020 Author Posted July 29, 2020 Hi Steve, We purchased it from an independent dealer, not an Audi main dealership. So I am not sure what our right's are. The dealer just said, see what Audi can do as a goodwill gesture ...
Steve Q Posted July 30, 2020 Posted July 30, 2020 You have 30 days to take it back to the dealer you bought it from to rectify the issue. As up to 30 days you are still entitled to a full refund. Cheers Steve
Jaime Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 I didnt know that! Thanks Steve. Anyway, it has been rectified. The car went through numerous software updates, the technician phoned us to say our system has been updated so you will see minor changes but the B&O system issue has not been cured. It will need further investigation but it mostly likely will be the main control unit for the MMI system (£2,500 in total). My wife and I were gobsmacked. He mentioned that the master technician has seen a few of these cars do the same as ours and overnight when the car has been shut down for a while, restart car in the morning, the system settings appear and its fixed so all we had to do was keep our fingers crossed. We left the dealership, turned the car on, the settings appeared and the B&O system is now working. Amazing!!! Work was carried our at Wolverhampton Audi 🙂
