They should fit. But personally I'd keep the original wheels and refurb them. Especially due to the story behind your a6. What wheels have you got on it currently?

The original wheels were on the car but it parked at the seaside for 15 years, they were in the worst condition I've ever seen, and to refurb was costing half the purchase value of the car

I can assure you it wasn't like that when I bought it.  It was parked under a tree and hadn't turned a wheel in nearly a year, so was covered in gunge.  I borrowed a polisher and got stuck in.  To be honest there's lots needing done on the outside, whereas inside, it's immaculate.  It has the dreaded heater problems, and also, hopefully, a minor steering problem, but all in all it's in good nick for a 19 year old car

Glad you're on the way to getting it sorted 🙂 not going to lie they're expensive cars to maintain. Spent £1k on mine last month alone. But theyre fantastic abd strong cars.
