MAP Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Hi can someone tell me the best way to reattach the Wiring loom cover onto the door pillar, as I had to take it off to repair the wiring to the door speaker. The actual wiring loom connector itself just keeps going back into the pillar and I cannot see a way to secure it to the pillar, so the cover cannot attach thanks for any help 👍
DavidTdi Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Yes. See this thread of mine about six posts down it when I changed the whole door loom. The lack of logic as to how to lock that connector back in drove me mad for ages until I worked it out. Images help show what to do.

MAP Posted September 3, 2020 Author Posted September 3, 2020 Hi just tried your advice on locking connector back in place but all I managed to do is break the pink locking tab so now there’s way to secure it 🙈
DavidTdi Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 Really sorry it broke. The method is correct it's just that it's a stupidly fiddly clip system that is prone to break unless everything is spot on aligned.
MAP Posted September 3, 2020 Author Posted September 3, 2020 No problem advice was spot on I’m just probably to heavy handed, had to put connector into pillar and basically put the rubber boot into the hole and seal around that with waterproof tape to stop any water getting in, as obviously boot can’t seal any more as it has nothing to fix to. Thanks again for the help 👍
