kptbck Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Hi, I have a switch on the door (inside) of my recently purchased 2017 A1 for folding in the mirrors electronically. Does anyone know if the key can be configured to automatically fold in the mirrors when locking? Thanks Keith.
Steve Q Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 If it can be done, then I think the setting can be found in the cars infotainment system.
kptbck Posted September 8, 2020 Author Posted September 8, 2020 Thanks Steve. I’ve had a look and can’t see anywhere in the system to enable this.
Steve Q Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 It might not have it then but I bet it probably can be retrofitted.
ekimj10 Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 You can buy an aftermarket kit to replace existing with folding mirrors and the UK based company I looked at would also do an installation service. I decided not to bother too expensive and too far from me. I would think the wiring loom already includes for them but couldn't find out for certain. Look at these but there are others https://www.audiretrofit.com/
cockneyrick Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 There's a way to alter programming for it & many other things. Carista OBD2 bluetooth to change settings, & another called OBDeleven 😉
