AndyWard
Hello. I have recently purchased a 2013 A4 S Line Black edition, I am having difficulty connecting the Bluetooth for audio. I have bought several aftermarket leads that plug in to the adapter in the glove box and none of them appear to be working. Any advice on how to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated. CupraDine
A quick google of the part number on your cable suggests it's USB but I may be wrong. Are you using this and a USB lead to connect a phone? If it is an iPhone you will need to get the iPhone specific cable, you may find them cheap only but you can always ask your local dealer for the cable. If it is a non iPhone (Samsung etc.) you may find bluetooth audio more difficult. 2013 models support bluetooth streaming it with the full navigation pack I think. Someone else may know more than me on this. If you don't have this then it's either an aux cable or something like the Bovee tune2air
Pauls898
That looks to be the same system as mine, (Audi MMI 2 from a B8 Audi A4/A5) that connector is a USB interface and NOT Bluetooth, the Bluetooth is only for hands free telephone if factory fitted and NOT audio playback, I have one of those leads which connects with the old style Apple 30 Pin connector for an Apple iPod. But what I use today is the USB version of that lead available from Audi they were £25.00, it has a USB A female connector on the other end and I simple use an old 250GB 2.5inch hard drive from my laptop installed into a USB caddy make sure you format it as FAT32 and it works a treat and it can hold my whole CD collect of 1000's CD albums so there's always something to play, I then just use my phone for making phone calls lol I have made folders A, B, C - Z and placed Artist in alphabetical order that saves a lot of scrolling with the control wheel lol If i need to get to say ZZ - top then its maximum 26 folders and then a few inside Z to scroll though on the MMI screen! Mrheisenburg
Hi…. I have just purchased a 2011 B8 A4 with I think the same AMI box in the glove box….. if you want to connect to Bluetooth to play audio off your phone I bought a Bluetooth device off Amazon … not cheap at £90 but it plugs straight into the AMI box in the glove box then you pair your phone to it…. Simple as that…. I have an iPhone with Apple Music and any music on your phone plays through the car with the artist and track name displayed on the centre screen and on the screen between the speedo and Rev counter…..it all works through the steering wheel controls too…. Pauls898
Have you got a link to this device you purchased? I just use an old 2.5 inch hard disc drive mounted in an USB caddie and that works fine and cost me nothing apart from the cost of the caddie about £10.99 :-)
