Hi聽So I've just rebuilt my turbo on my audi a3 tdi sline quattro 2006 new core and new vvt it ran great for the first day but the second day it lost boost and engine management light came on, now I've got code po299 so I pulled the air I let pipe of and tried to move the vvt actuator and its stuck solid , should it move as when it was of the car it moved I put a vacum pump to it and it still didnt move any help would be great really hope I dont have to remove the turbo again

Could there be a fuse that controls boost as I was checking them all as my horns not working and could have put1 in the wrong place as I was being nagged at by the missus at the time馃ぃ

So I solved the issue in case any body else has this, what had happened was the stopper scre for the vvt arm had rattled the locking nut off and wound all the way to the arm so it could not move only found this out after removing the turbo again but all sorted20201106_115449.thumb.jpg.3c1bb9c978022523a46510829e9f5b2d.jpg

Thanks it was down to a very thin egr blanking plate on top off the turbo that had warped as well I think
