G Ps Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Hi New to this, but can anyone give me some advise please. I have the traction control light on the dash all the time. Pressing the ESP button has no effect. Apart from that car seems fine.
Magnet Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Hello Graham, Many thanks for being in touch. Although I am not a fan of putting my dependence on plug in diagnostics, then you might have to resort to this in this case. This should diagnose which is the offending wheel, and you might find it’s an ABS sensor or an inferior signal to the sensor - from the hub. Of course this would be a guess (not what I like doing!) Kind regards, Gareth.
G Ps Posted November 8, 2020 Author Posted November 8, 2020 Hi Tried this and no fault code coming up.
Magnet Posted November 8, 2020 Posted November 8, 2020 Hello Graham, It could depend on the professional level of your diagnostic equipment. Kind regards, Gareth.
G Ps Posted November 9, 2020 Author Posted November 9, 2020 Hi Using OBD eleven which has removed and read fault codes in the past.
Magnet Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 So, OK Graham. Which wheel/s has your diagnostic equipment identified as being the offender/s in the last - as opposed to having the capability of masking the fault by extinguishing the warning light? Kind regards, Gareth.
G Ps Posted November 10, 2020 Author Posted November 10, 2020 Hi Does not I.D. any wheels at all. No faults and does not remove the warning the warning light.
Magnet Posted November 10, 2020 Posted November 10, 2020 As said - Way forward - worth getting it checked with professional equipment. If you don’t, then you are struggling. If this doesn’t show up anything, then you are struggling anyway. Kind regards, Gareth.
