Hello everyone,  I'm new to the club and have read the Newbie info.  I've had my trusty Audi for more than 10 yers now and certain parts are difficult to find.  Is there a dedicated Audi breakers yard or dealer?  Any help would be great, thanks in advance.  I want to keep my A4 on the road forever.

Hello Lawrence,

Many thanks for being in touch, and good on you for hanging on to,and maintaining your 1996 A4.

Specialist breakers of older Audis?? - but I would suggest you keep an eye on eBay for anything you want. This is always a good source.
Have you had a look at ‘Modern Classics’ magazine? Again a useful source for being able to advertise for what you may want.

Are you aware that your Audi should qualify for cheap classic car insurance? - subject to certain conditions of use.

Kind regards,

Gareth.

Hi Gareth, many thanks.  I will track down the magazine and have a look.  There are specialist breakers for certain cars, I had an MGB once and there was a yard with over an acre of MGs to be scavenged for parts, and I think Porsche have one too.

Thanks for the tip on insurance, I will look into that.  I was looking forward to no road tax also, but I think that is 40 years now not 25.

You're in the same boat as me. Im keeping my a6 c5 forever and finding parts now becoming harder to find as a lot aren't being made anymore.
