A new render of the Audi Q6 e-tron give a glimpse of how the electric SUV could look when it goes on sale in late 2022. It’ll be another alternative to the Mercedes EQC, Ford Mustang Mach E, and BMW iX.

2022 Audi Q6 e-tron design

With no official sightings of the Audi Q6 e-tron just yet, this fresh render is the clearest idea so far of what the electric SUV could look like.

Expect a huge, blanked-off body-coloured grille to be the centrepiece of its design — just like the Q4 e-tron and e-tron GT — with thin LED headlights placed up top. Large intakes will sit below those too, with a host of black accents around the car.

Alloy wheels as large as 21-inches could feature, perhaps with a focus on reducing turbulent air flow around the sides of the car to help reduce drag and boost its electric range. The rear of the new Q6 e-tron will likely have a similar look to the Q4 e-tron too, with an LED light bar stretching across the whole width of the car.

2022 Audi Q6 e-tron batteries and range

It’s likely the Audi Q6 e-tron would share the 100kWh battery from the upcoming A6 e-tron saloon, which will go on sale after this new SUV in 2023.

The A6 e-tron was recently shown as a concept car with 435 miles of range. Expect the larger Q6 e-tron to have a slightly shorter range of around 400 miles as a result of its larger size and less aerodynamic body.

variety of motor options should be on offer, including single- and dual-motor variants — possibly with as much as 476hp and 800Nm of torque. That’s the same as you’ll get from a range-topping A6 e-tron.

2023 Audi Q6 e-tron interior and infotainment

The Audi Q6 e-tron will likely use an interior similar to the Q4 e-tron, albeit with a bit more space and a few more luxurious touches as a result of its higher price tag.

Plenty of recycled materials should be used throughout, and it’ll almost certainly feature a similar squared-off steering wheel with touch-sensitive buttons as you get in the Audi Q4 e-tron.

Also like that car, the new Q6 e-tron should have a completely flat floor inside, so there’ll be plenty of room in the back for passengers to stretch out.

You should expect the Q6 e-tron to have an augmented reality head-up display, which should be able to place navigational directions on the road ahead as well as a large central touchscreen.

2023 Audi Q6 e-tron price and release date

The Audi Q6 e-tron could go on sale in 2023, just ahead of the A6 e-tron saloon. You can expect it to cost from around £60,000, which would make the new Q6 e-tron slightly cheaper than today’s Audi e-tron SUV.
