Hi I currently have a convertible Audi TT the car roof had been playing up. It’s currently unable to automatically go up and down and has been manually put back into place. Can anyone help offer advice or recommend a specialist

Various issues can cause the roof to stop working such as failing hydraulic pump, failing switches or clamps for example. At least you've confirmed that the movement of the roof isn't affected (often caused by objects getting jammed in the mechanics of the roof) which is a bonus. It might be worth getting an auto electrician to test the roof to establish what might have failed.

Hi Steve thank you for responding. Where is ban auto electrician based? I also have another issue with the car something is causing the battery to drain but not sure if it’s connected to the roof problem. The last mechanic indicated & implied it could be the hydraulics on the car that have caused the roof problem but nobody has actually confirmed it

Sorry it should say "an auto electrician". Best way to find a local one is via Google or local adverts. Your mechanic could be right to be fair.
