Donscott Posted May 15, 2021 Posted May 15, 2021 Hi all, ive replaced my 2 near side doors today with same colour code from salvage company, however when I put it all together there is no electrics on the front door and only the speaker working on the rear door I’ve checked the 15a fuse for the left hand side and it’s fine does anyone have any advice on what to do next to get the doors to lock and the widows to work..? cheers Don
Steve Q Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Could you not transfer the wiring looms out of your old doors, along with door cards etc into your new doors? 1
Donscott Posted May 16, 2021 Author Posted May 16, 2021 Hi Steve yes I could and it looks like that’s what am going to have to do along with the door lock module and the power motor for the window and the speakers etc… just thought there might be a fuse or a relay switch that some one knew of that would solve the issue. cheers Don

Donscott Posted May 16, 2021 Author Posted May 16, 2021 Hi Steve am also putting the original door modules and the window motors on the replacement doors along with the original wire loom, I’ve noticed a different plug with 2 wires for the window motor on the replacement door where as on my original loom it has a plug with 4 wires also the door actuators are different sizes with different connectors. cheers thanks Don

Donscott Posted May 16, 2021 Author Posted May 16, 2021 Thank you very much for the info I was a bit down hearted as I’ve never changed doors before and when I did nothing worked, but now I understand the situation am more upbeat just need a spline bit to remove the door actuators 👍🏴 1
Stevey Y Posted May 16, 2021 Posted May 16, 2021 Hi if the new doors are different electrically the one thing you can be sure of is its very, very rare for them to change the fixing points for the modules etc as that would create a massive re tooling cost, so in theory the originals should fit even if the connectors different, anyway 10/10 for effort and persistence. Steve.
