Audi of America today introduced Function on Demand to the U.S. for select 2021 Audi Q5, Q5 Sportback, A4 and A5 Premium and Premium Plus models and 2021 e-tron and e-tron Sportback Premium models 

Audi of America today introduced Function on Demand to the U.S. for select 2021 Audi Q5, Q5 Sportback, A4 and A5 Premium and Premium Plus models and 2021 e-tron and e-tron Sportback Premium models. The initial offering for Audi Q5, Q5 Sportback, A4, and A5 models, MMI Navigation plus bundled with Audi connect PLUS with Full-Speed Wi-Fi™, unlocks Audi’s vibrant and immersive satellite navigation for customers looking for short-term road trip functionality or to help customers make their Audi more perfect for them.

Available for Premium trim 2021 Audi e-tron and e-tron Sportback models, the Light Function Package includes turning lights, dynamic cornering lights and maneuvering light for low-speed driving.

Function on Demand opens up the full Audi navigation experience, complete with a real-life satellite view, natural speech recognition controls that learn language, handwriting recognition on the newly enlarged 10.1-inch MMI touchscreen and all other services included in the CARE, PRIME, and PLUS packages for these models. These features complement vehicles not equipped with navigation from the factory and add a new layer to the ownership experience on both the new and preowned market.

Drivers are able to select from monthly or annual subscription plans. The MMI Navigation plus feature is available for purchase through the new myAudi Marketplace in the myAudi app.

 

Function on Demand MMI Navigation plus is especially useful for a driver who may need a one-month navigation subscription on a road trip, allowing passengers and rear-seat occupants with up to eight compatible devices, such as smartphones or tablets, the ability to watch videos using a vehicle’s built-in 4G LTE Wi-Fi connection. An annual subscription may be beneficial for a driver who has found the right Audi and wants navigation so it further meets their needs and wants.
