Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum but i've had Audi's before. I've got an A6 2008, tdi 2.0 Auto Estate. There's a bit of white smoke but it's intermittently going into limp mode with no EML or any other warnings. Sometimes it happens going up an incline, sometimes it does it with my foot to floor. The weird thing is that sometimes it doesn't.

I turn the car off and and start it again and the problem goes away.

I've had a diagnostic on it and the only fault that is stored is p1641 - read dtc memory of a/c control module.

I've read that it could be the turbo over/underboosting but there's no log of it.

Anyone got any thoughts?

Thanks

Before writing off the turbo it might be worth checking the boost pipes or the actuators.
